Know what to do in the event of a medical emergency. Students will undertake standard first aid training with AED, and become IFA-B with AED certified. This 2-day blended course will involve 1 day of online training with a certified first aide trainer, and 1 day of in-class practical assessment with a certified trainer to receive a certification.

Do you have your learner’s permit? Are you 16 and feeling ready to tackle what it takes to get your license? Be test ready with this 2-day intensive driver preparation course. Work alongside an instructor and be guided through what it takes to be road ready. The course is designed to make sure you are "theoretical knowledge" ready to take your driver’s exam. This is an on-line preparation course only and does not include any practical in-car road experience, the Driver’s Exam or any costs associated with that exam. This course does not, on its own, count as a certificate for an insurance discount or completion of a New Driver program as NO in-vehicle training is provided. This is designed as an enhancement course to build confidence around the theoretical aspect of driving.

In this outdoor cooking class, we will explore the operation of a wood fired oven while cooking several dishes. We will use a range of temperatures to bake Neapolitan style pizza, grill meats and vegetables, and finally, bake bread. We'll top it off with lunch and a discussion with one of Edmonton's most innovative restaurateurs and owner of Leopard Pizza.

Join us for an exciting adventure this summer as we explore the beautiful River Valley of Edmonton on mountain bikes! This three-day program is designed for high school students who want to experience the thrill of mountain biking in a safe and supportive environment. Our experienced teachers will support you while you refine your mountain bike skills, including proper technique, bike maintenance, and safety tips.
You'll also get to explore some of the most scenic and technical trails in the River Valley, with plenty of time for stops along the way to take in the stunning views. You will even get to cook meals along the way! Whether you're an experienced rider or just want to enjoy more single track trails, this program is perfect for anyone who loves the great outdoors and wants to challenge themselves in a fun and unique way. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to discover the joys of mountain biking in Edmonton's River Valley!
Students should be prepared with their own bike, proper fitting helmet, and water bottle. We plan to ride about 20kms each day and will end each day's ride with a dip in one of Edmonton’s iconic pools.
Bikes are available for a $40 rental fee.
Students will complete an online hypothermia credit before class starts via google classroom.
Bus transportation available from Bellerose High School each day.
Students will receive confirmation emails by the third week of June with your Summer School class and teacher.
